The Edward VII halfcrown, valued at two shillings and sixpence, was minted
in sterling silver between 1902 and 1910. As one-eighth of a pound, it was a
significant denomination in circulation during the Edwardian period.
Collectors admire these coins for their impressive size, detailed designs,
and the range of subtle obverse and reverse varieties. High-grade examples
are particularly prized and can command strong premiums at auction.
